“Spain to Table”
A Spaniard invasion in your kitchen. A private NYC chef brings his fresh attitude, and his popular dishes, into the homes of strangers.
Synopsis:
In New York City, no one has time. No time to shop, no time to cook. Or so they say. Antonio Ortuño isn’t here to teach New Yorkers time management. He’s here to provide an experience they won’t forget.
“Spain to Table” has a different formula. Yes, Antonio prepares a multi-course dinner or a lunch. The food is still central, but what makes this show unique is the experience of a private chef interacting with unexplored elements. Antonio thinks of himself as an ambassador for the Spanish culture. Drawing from his background growing up on the Western Mediterranean Coast, he imparts to the host the essence of his native country.
Antonio shares with not only the viewers, but the host and the host’s guests the traditional recipes of Spain, step by step. He explains the characteristics of the ingredients, and their importance in Spanish cuisine. Fireworks ensue. Perhaps a little sass. He presents each dish to the guests, typically culminating, by the final course, in an ovation.
