This is a fast and easy recipe for Chinese BBQ Pork. Also known as char siu. Delicious and simple recipe. Tian Mian Sauce is a sweet sauce that is very popular as a dipping sauce or as a complement to main dishes. Chinese BBQ Pork is great as a main dish, or eat it with noodles and even in a sandwich. Below is the recipe:
Chinese BBQ Pork Cha Siu
2 to 3 lbs. pork loin
6 tablespoons tian mian sauce or hoixin sauce
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons chopped garlic
2 tablespoons chopped ginger
2 tablespoons honey
In a small mixing bowl, put all the ingredients, except the honey. After mixing ingredients, cover the pork loin with this marinade. Cover the bottom side first. Make sure to cover the sides with the marinade. Finish by covering the top side with the marinade.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Put the Chinese BBQ pork in the oven, and cook for 40 to 45 minutes. At the halfway mark, brush some of the marinade on the pork. In the last 10 minutes, brush some honey and finish cooking. Le cha siu cool off for a few minutes. Slice into bite size pieces. Enjoy!
