Chocolate Peanut Butter Bon Bons Recipe:
Makes 3 dozen Peanut Butter Bon Bons
Ingredients:
4 tbsp butter
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups crispy rice cereal
1.5 cups confectioner’s sugar
1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips, for dipping (6 oz)
Directions:
We’re going to brown the butter first. Melt the butter in a skillet, then cook for a few minutes until brown specks appear. Immediately remove from the heat and stir in the peanut butter until smooth.
In a large bowl, combine rice cereal and confectioner’s sugar. Stir in the peanut butter mixture until the confectioner’s sugar has disappeared. Scoop into 1-inch balls and set on a baking sheet. Chill for 2 hours.
Once chilled, you can roll the scoops in your palms into a more ball-like shape.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, then dip each ball in melted chocolate. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes so the chocolate can set. Enjoy!
