Rava idli recipe
Rava | Sooji 1/2 cup
Curd | Yogurt 1/4 cup
Green chili 1
Ginger grated 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
Channa dal 1/4 tsp
Urad dal 1/4 tsp
Oil 2 tsp
Asafoetida (hing)-1/2tsp
Curry leaves few
Coriander leaves few
Salt as needed
Method:
Heat a pan 1/2 tsp oil, add mustard seeds and add kadalai paruppu, when start to crackle, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, dal saute turns light brown. Add curry leaves.
Add rave and mix well. Roast it on low flame until it turns light brown.
add curd, chopped green chillies, ginger and salt and add water mix it well.
keep batter aside for 15 minutes to sock.
put the idli pot stem it on medium flame for 6-7 minutes. after 7 minutes, turn off flame and remove from steamer. remove prepared idli from it.
Now rava idli is ready.
