Chef Ruchi Bharani makes Corn & Water Chestnut Balls, a popular recipe with a twist in it. A great party snacks often served as a starter / appetizer dish. Learn how to make this simple and easy to make quick homemade recipe.
Ingredients:
1/2 tin cream style corn
2 tbsp Milk
3 tbsp cornflour
1/2 clove garlic ( pounded )
1/2 tsp ginger chilli paste
salt
2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
1/2 cup water chestnut (chopped)
1 small spring onion (chopped)
Breadcrumbs
Oil
Method:
– Mix the milk and cornflour and pour it on the cream style corn
– Add clove garlic paste, ginger chilli paste and salt and mix everything well.
– Turn on the flame and keep stirring till it becomes thick.
– In a separate pan warm sweet chilli sauce and add water chestnuts to it
– Mix everything well to make a dry filling
– Add spring onions to it and keep frying it for few seconds more.
– Turn off the flame, add salt to the filling and mix everything well
– Mash the corn mixture, add the chestnut filling to it and mix well.
– Make small balls from the mixture and roll it in breadcrumbs
– Deep fry the balls till golden brown and serve it with sweet chilli sauce
