In a nation so full of the individual pursuit of happiness, individuals are bound to step on each others toes and this here is often what can truly boil an American’s blood. There are other ways to make Americans down right angry and ready to sue. Here are a few ways to make an American blood boil and have them not to pleased.
Don’t provide the service you agreed too…
One of the ways Americans get the angriest is if they feel they have not received what it is the paid for. Customer service is an art form in the US and truly the customer is always right. If an expectation, whether made if that expectation is not filled an American will be furious. Examples of expectations not met include: not serving the table diligently enough as a waiter, not putting on a to-go coffee lib securely enough, or screwing up on a surgery or some dentistry… and you might find an irate American ready to sue.
Not Enough Consumer Choice
Being in a place where it is not possible to get a lot of the same things that are available in the US is recipe that will boil over the American proverbial stew. With so much choice, especially with food items, not having the same level of choices – especially for highly specific things – will make an American angry and ready to lose it.
Not being able to get what they want, now…
Perhaps as a result of parenting where kids are told they are special no matter what, but currently in America (and let`s be honest the world over) people are having more and more trouble delaying gratification. Being told that they can`t have something want now is a blue print for making younger Americans rather upset. Modern entitlement can lead to huge meltdowns when what is wanted is held back by say – not having earned it or financial restriction.
Not Tipping
In the US there are some jobs paid so poorly in the service industry that tipping is just part of the culture. Not to tip correctly is a way to come across as totally cheap and look bad in front of others. Americans will feel incensed, even though some of them will often admit that tipping has gotten too high, if a person feels they can forgo this social custom. This is especially true for visitors to the US, being international does not give you a pass on pissing off an American if you don`t tip.
