Matar Chaat
Ingredients-
1kg green peas, cooked
Chaat masala
Garam masala
Red chilli powder
Roasted cumin powder, coarsely ground
Salt to taste
Lemon
Dahi/curd
Boiled and mashed potatoes
Refined oil
Sweet chutney
Green chutney
Chopped onions for salad
Method-
In a bowl mix all the ingredients (chaat masala, garam masala, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, salt, lemon juice, boiled and mashed potatoes) with green peas.
Coarsely mash the peas.
Now make thin flat tikkis with the mixture.
Heat the pan with oil, and shallow fry the matar tikkis until crusty top and bottom.
Serve in two ways of your choice- Topped with dahi/curd and chutneys (sweet and green) OR with just some sprinkle of masalas (chaat masala, cumin powder, red chilli powder), lemon juice and chopped onions with it.
