[ OPEN FOR RECIPE ] These healthy overnight oats are perfect for meal prep for school or work! They are also dorm room friendly 🙂 I make them on Sunday and eat them every day during the school week – usually I stick with one flavor for the week, but I wanted to show you guys some different ideas, in case you like more variety! Hope you enjoy 🙂
BASE RECIPE =
1 cup oats (rolled or quick)
1 tbsp ground flaxseed (You can also use chia, but flax has more nutritional benefits)
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup nut milk of choice (I use almond)
Sweetener of choice: 1/2 mashed banana, 1 tbsp maple syrup, or 1 tbsp coconut sugar, etc…
***Mix dry ingredients, then add in the wet and stir well. Your oats are now ready to customize!
1. CHUNKY MONKEY OATS
1 Base Recipe, PLUS:
1/2 tbsp cacao powder (or cocoa, carob)
1 tbsp chopped walnuts
dash of vanilla extract
1/2 banana, chopped in pieces
1 tbsp water (so the oats don’t get too thick)
2. PB AND JELLY OATS
1 Base Recipe, PLUS:
2 tbsp powdered peanut butter (or regular PB)
1-2 TBSP of your favorite jam
1 tbsp water (so the oats don’t get too thick)

3. CINNAMON RAISIN OATS
1 Base Recipe, PLUS:
1/2 tsp cinnamon
dash of vanilla extract
2 tbsp raisins (or any dried fruit of your choice)
4. GREEN GODDESS OATS
* Note: these oats are definitely amazing for you, but you can taste the greens powder! I personally like it 🙂
1 Base Recipe, PLUS:
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tbsp unsweetened coconut
1 tbsp greens powder (I used moringa, but any will work)
1 tbsp water (so the oats don’t get too thick)
