Ingredients:
250 gms Tur Dal
1 Onion, chopped
1 Tomato, chopped
2 Drumsticks, chopped
3 Egg Plants, chopped
1 Bottle Gourd, chopped
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
15-20 Curry Leaves
3 Dry Red Chillies
7-8 Fenugreek Seeds
1 tsp Tamarind Pulp
1 tbsp Sambar Masala
1 tsp Mix Masala
3 tbsp Oil
Coriander Leaves
Salt to taste
Water
Method:
– In a pan heat some oil.
– Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, dry red chillies, fenugreek seeds & coriander leaves. Give a stir.
– Add chopped onion, tomato, sambar masala & salt. Mix everything well.
– Add chopped drumsticks, egg plant, bottle gourd & water. Mix well.
– Cover it with a lid and let the vegetables cook for 10 minutes.
– Then add tamarind pulp, mix masala, sambar masala & dal. Add little water & mix well.
– Let the sambar simmer for 5 minutes.
– Sambar is ready to be served.
