Chicken Kachori recipe is a popular street snack all over India. There are many other popular street food snacks like shami kebab, anda shami burger, samosa and Pakora but chicken Kachori is one of the tastiest and arguably the most primitive. The spicy snack is said to be originated from Uttar Pradesh, India and it was available in Agra as early as 1613. Now it is eaten all over the Indian subcontinent especially in south Asian countries. Kachori recipe is usually a round, flattened ball of made of flour, with a stuffed usually baked mix of chicken, chili powder, salt and other spices. Other variants have minced in them as the stuffing. Kachori is a popular snack eaten in evenings or lunch and is a common part on the menu of Iftar recipes during the holy month of Ramadan.
The traditional and the most widely loved version of kachoris. Maida dough made into small balls and filled with masala made of ginger-garlic paste, mint, coriander leaves and other hot spices. Rolled out into roundels, deep fried to a crispy perfection.
Ingredients: Chicken Kachori Recipe
*500 grams – Chicken Mince
*500 grm Maida – Plain White Refined Flour “all-purpose flour”
*3 tbsp – Ghee (melted)
*Salt to taste
*1 tbsp – Dhania (Coriander) Roasted & crushed
*1 tbsp – Zeera (Cumin) Roasted & crushed
*1 tbsp – Lehsan (Garlic) Chopped
*1 tsp – Garam masala powder
*3 tbsp – Coriander
*1 1/2 tsp – Red chili powder (as per your taste)
*3-4 – Green chili Chopped
*2 medium – Onion finely chopped
*2 – Tomato finely chopped
*3 tbsp – Miada (All-purpose flour)
