Bengali Rasgulla Recipe – Indian Vegetarian Cuisine – Cheese balls in sugar syrup
Rasgulla is a cheese-based, syrupy sweet dish originally from the Indian state of Odisha. It has gained popularity throughout India and south Asia and has become the main dessert in many Indian festivals.
The dish is made from chhena (an Indian cottage cheese) and semolina dough, cooked in sugar syrup until the syrup permeates the dumplings.
