Fiery Oriental Salad with Cucumber | Spicy Oriental Salad Recipe!
This is the method I utilized:
1. Kick off by slicing 4-5 Persian cucumbers or 3 Japanese cucumbers into half moons, coins, or sticks. Slice them into your desired shape, keeping them modest in thickness. This ensures they can soak up all the delicious flavors.
2. Put the cucumber in a bowl, then mix in 1 large minced garlic clove.
3. Flavor the cucumber with a couple of small pinches of salt, then drizzle 2-3 tbsp rice vinegar, 2-3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari, 1.5 tsp sesame oil, 1.5 to 2 tbsp powdered sweetener of your selection (I opted for monk fruit), and give it a thorough initial blend.
4. Once the salad is combined, sprinkle 1/3 cup roasted peanuts on top, a few Korean chili flakes or your favored chili flakes, include a small amount of finely chopped fresh mint, some sesame seeds, and 1 to 2 tbsp of a zesty chili crisp. Mix well and serve.
5. Serve it up, garnish it with black sesame seeds, some fresh mint leaves, and a touch more chili crisp.
