Kheema Oats/Minced Mutton Oats from Maimoona Yasmeen’s Recipes
Ingredients: using 200 ml cup
Oats – 3/4th cup (or 150 grms)
Minced Mutton/Kheema – 3/4th cup (or 150 grms)
Tomatoes/Tamatar – 3 medium
Onion/Pyaz – 1 medium
Oil – 3 tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4th tsp
Salt – 1 to 1 1/2 tsp (or as per the taste)
Spices/Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander/Dhaniya Powder – 1/2 tsp
Chopped Mint Leaves – 1 tbsp
Chopped Coriander – 1 tbsp
Lemon – 1/2 tbsp
Procedure:
1. Add oil to the pan.
2. Add diced onion and stir fry for 1 min.
3. Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry for few seconds.
4. Add turmeric powder and chopped tomatoes.
5. Stir fry till the oil separates.
6. Add salt, minced mutton, spices and coriander powder.
7. Stir fry till the oil separates.
8. Add 1/2 cup water. Close the lid.
9. Cook on medium flame to low flame till the minced mutton is tenderized and till the water dries up.
10. Stir fry till the oil separates
11. Add 1/2 litre water, chopped mint leaves, chopped coriander and lemon juice.
12. When the water comes to boil, add oats.
13. Mix well. Close the lid.
14. Cook till the oats are tenderized.
15. Stir at times to prevent burning/sticking to the pan.
16. Cook till the water is dried.
17. Dish out. Garnish with Chopped Coriander.
Serve hot
