Dhokla Recipe – How to make Dhokla at home – Quick and Easy Soft Besan Dhokla

Here is quick and easy Dhokla recipe. Dhokla is very popular Indian recipe. Basically it originates from Gujrat. We can serve it for breakfast or evening snacks. let’s watch how to make dhokla at home and try it your own.

Ingredients of Dhokla Recipe:
1. Besan / Gram flour (200 gm).
2. Ginger paste (1 tsp).
3. Turmeric powder (¼ tsp).
4. Baking powder (1 tsp).
5. Baking soda (¼ tsp).
6. Salt (as per your taste).
7. Sugar (as per your taste).
8. Refined oil (2 tbsp).
9. Mustard seeds (½ tsp).
10. Slitted green chilli (5 to 6).
11. Lemon juice (3 tsp).
12. Curry leaves.
13. Chopped coriander leaves.

Methods of how to cook Dhokla:
1. Add 200 gm gram flour in a big mixing bowl. Add water and make smooth paste.
2. Add ½ tsp salt, 3 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp sugar, 1 6sp ginger paste, and ¼ tsp turmeric powder. Mix all the ingredients very well.
3. Beat the batter very well.
4. Now keep it for 15 min.
5. After 15 min take a bowl/cake tin and grease oil in it.
6. Add 1 tsp baking powder and ¼ tsp baking soda in batter. Mix it well.
7. Pour the batter in the greased bowl/cake tin.
8. Heat water in a pan. When boiling put the bowl/cake tin and cover it for 20 to 30 min in low flame.
9. After baking let become cool.
10. Cut dhoklas in square shape.
11. Heat the pan and add 2 tbsp oil in it.
12. Add ½ tsp mustard seeds, curry leaved. Fry for 2 min.
13. Add 1 cup water. When boiling add 1 tbsp sugar. When sugar dissolve totally put off gas oven.
14. Add the spice mixture on dhokla.
