Ingredients
Onion – 2 medium sized
Spice Packet – 10rs packet ( available in market)
Chopped coriander and mint – 1 cup
Green Chillies – 4
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 table spoons
Chicken Leg pieces – 3
Lemon – 2 small
Curd – 150 gm
Dhaniya powder – 1 tablespoon
Turmeric – 1 teaspoon
Biryani Masala Powder – 1 tablespoon
Chili Powder – 1 table spoon
Basmati Rice(optional) – 500 grams ( you can go for regular rice as well )
Oil as required
Salt as required
Method
Heat oil/ghee in a pan and add the spices to the heated oil.
Once the aroma from spices is released, add chopped onions and saute them well.
Once the onions are fried well, add ginger – garlic paste to the onions and mix them well for 5 minutes.
Now add biryani masala, dhaniya powder, salt, chilli powder, turmeric and mix them well. Fry the mixture well for 5 minutes.
Now add chicken to the mixture followed by coriander, mint, yogurt and let it cook for 15 minutes till the chicken is tender.
Add oil to electric cooker followed by chicken mixture and washed rice.
Add water to the mixture and let the biryani cook.
Serve it hot along with raita.
