When not in a mood to visit market make this easy Tomato rice recipe at home. Made with ingredients that are readily available in every household you can also make this rice dish on special occasions like kitty parties, potlucks or even enjoy it as a lazy Sunday brunch.
Ingredients:
3 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1/2 Inch Ginger, slit
10-2 Curry leaves
4-5 Green Chilies, slit
2 Onions, sliced
2 Tomatoes, sliced
Coriander leaves
Salt to taste
1/4 kg Kolam Rice
Method of preparation:
In a vessel heat oil, cumin seeds, ginger, curry leaves, green chilies, onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, salt, mix them well and saute them till the tomatoes and onion soften.
Lower the flame, add rice, coriander leaves and mix them well.
Close the lid and cook it for 5 minutes.
Take out the rice on a plate and our tomato rice is ready to eat.
