Vegan Thanksgiving Main Dish | Starch Solution Weight Loss | Starch Solution Recipes

In this Vegan Thanksgiving Main Dish video, Plant Based Storm and I show you two Thanksgving Main Dishes that you can use for you Starch Solution weight loss. These Starch Solution recipes can be paired with veggies or a salad for a perfect 50/50 plate.

Southern Cornbread Dressing

Cook cornbread – 1 skillet/pan of cornbread ( see video here https://youtu.be/tZFVj5MW1lE )
Stale bread – 2 slices, toasted (350 for 10 minutes)
Celery-3 stalks or about 1 cup
Onions- 1 small, diced
Veggie broth 3 quarts ( you may or may not need all of this)
Pepper to taste
Poultry seasoning to taste

Cook cornbread and bread-toast (can do a couple days before if desired)

Water saute onions and celery until translucent and tender or the celery will be crunchy in the dressing.

Crumble both cornbread and toast into fine pieces in the casserole dish.
Mix in onions and celery
Season to taste with poultry seasoning. ( I used 2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons).
Pepper

Pour broth in the pan and make it juicy Initially, I added in an entire quart and a cup of broth. This may vary depending on how dry your cornbread and toast are.

Cook covered and keep juicy (adding vegetable broth as needed) at 350 F for about 30 minutes. Pull away the edges from the baking pan as it browns. After 30 minutes, cook uncovered for about 15 minutes or until the dressing is as moist or dry as you like it.

Not-Giblet Gravy

½ cup of flour, I used unbleached white wheat.
1 cup of vegetable broth
1 cube of not-chick’n’ bouillon
Water as needed
⅓ cup of cashews + ⅓ cup of water for a ultra creamy gravy ( can be omitted)

Soak the equal parts water and cashews to soften for blending

Add all other ingredients except the extra water and flour to a blender. Blend up until smooth and creamy and set aside.

Add the flour to a hot non-stick skillet and cook until it begins to brown about 3-5 minutes constantly stirring the four so it does not burn.

Add the blended mixture quickly working it into the flour and add water to mix and thin as needed.

Once everything is mixed well, add to a blender for about 1-2 minutes. This makes it ultra creamy.

Serve as a gravy over the Southern Cornbread Dressing and enjoy!!
