How to make Paneer Masala – Cottage Cheese Indian Main course Gravy Recipe By Anuradha Toshniwal

One of the most craved dishes that comes to mind when one thinks of paneer is paneer masala. It is a perfect combination of spices & succulent tomato based gravy that makes this dish simply irresistable and versatile to be served with any Indian bread or rice. Chef Annuradha Toshniwal brings you this delectable paneer dish that’s surely going to satisfy your palate like never before.

Ingredients:

Paneer 1 & 1/3 cups/200 gms
1 large Onion grated
1 large tomato chopped
1 tsp corriander powder heaped
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp kasuri methi (dry fengurik leaves)
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
2-3 tbsp butter
salt

Method:
– In a pan, add the butter and onion and saute till the onions are golden brown in colour.
– Add the tomato and water and let it cook.
– Once the onions and tomatoes are cooked, add them to the liquidiser to get a smooth paste.
– Again, heat butter in a pan and add the red chilli powder, coriander powder, kasuri methi and the onion tomato paste.
– Add the tomato ketchup, cubed paneer (cottage cheese), salt to taste and water and let it simmer for a little while.
– Take it off the heat. Sprinkle some garam masala over the paneer and garnish it with coriander leaves.
– The delicious paneer masala is ready to be served.
