Kadai Paneer is a great main dish for any special occasion. Paneer and colorful bell peppers are sauteed in spicy tomato gravy.
Ingredients:
2 diced onions
3-4 tsp butter
1 diced tomato
Ginger garlic paste
Paneer cubes
1 diced capsicum
Salt
Garam masala
Cumin seeds
Cinnamon
Star anise
Cloves
Cardamom
Poppy seeds
Water
Process:
• Heat a kadai, place butter.. add cumin seeds, cloves, Cardamom, cinnamon, poppy seeds, onions, cashews.
• saute these till the raw smell disappears.
• now add the chopped tomatoes.
• saute the tomatoes till they become soft.
• Sprinkle some water to it, add salt and let it cook for 2 min
• Cool and blend in a mixer till smooth. Keep aside.
• Heat 2 tbsp of butter in the same pan add paneer cubes, salt, garam masala and saute for 3 min.
• Heat 2 tbsp butter in the same pan and add the 3 slit green chillies, onions, capsicum, and the prepared paste, water, salt, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder and sauté till the raw smell disappears.
• Add the paneer cubes and simmer for 5 minutes on a slow flame.
• Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
You can serve it in a kadai to give a restaurant touch.
