Ingredients
For gravy puree
3 onion
1/2 cinnamon
2-3 green cardamom
4-5 peppercorn
1 black cardamom
2-4 cloves
For gravy
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp ghee
2 black cardamom
3-4 cloves
4-5 peppercorn
1 stick cinnamon
1 cup onion puree
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp green chilli Paste
1 cup curd
Marinated chicken
1 cup cashew paste
11/2 tbsp kitchen king masala
1 tbsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp kasuri methi
1 cup cream
For chicken marination
1 cup chicken
Salt to taste
1 tbsp black pepper powder
1 1/2 tbsp kitchen king masala
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp green chilli paste
Method
• For onion paste
• In a cooking pot boil some water and then add 3 medium roughly chopped onions and then add whole spices cinnamon, green cardamom, peppercorn, black cardamom, cloves, and boil for 10 to 15 min.
• Let’s cool it and remove the whole spices and make a paste
For Chicken marination
• Take a bowl and the chicken then add some salt to taste, some black pepper powder, kitchen king masala, some lemon juice, and ginger garlic paste, now mix all the ingredients, and marinate the chicken for 15 min
For chicken kali mirch gravy
• Heat oil and ghee in a cooking Kadai then add the whole spices like black cardamom, cloves, peppercorn, and cinnamon for the aroma.
• Then add the onion paste and cook it well then after a few minutes add some ginger-garlic paste and green chili paste and cook until the oil oozes out.
• Next, add some whisked curd and bhuno till the oil and ghee show up.
• Then add the marinated chicken and mix it well and let it cook.
• After chicken is half done add some cashew paste mixed in water so that it does not get lumpy and makes a smooth gravy.
• Then add some more kitchen king masala, black pepper powder and kasuri methi, mix everything and let it cook for a while.
• Finally finish it with some cream and serve hot
• Garnish with fresh coriander and black pepper.
