Baked Teriyaki Salmon | Japanese Main Dish Recipe

Teriyaki is a cooking technique used in Japanese cuisine in which foods are broiled or grilled with a glaze of soy sauce, mirin, and sugar.

Sweet and tangy, this baked teriyaki salmon is an easy dinner that’s packed with nutrition. It tastes just like the ones at your favourite Japanese restaurant but doesn’t require you to leave the house and spend a lot of money. It bakes up in the oven in less than 20 minutes — no hibachi grill needed.

For easy prep, make the marinade ahead of time and allow the salmon to sit in the fridge overnight. The next day, you will have a quick dinner that the whole family will love. Serve it up with some hot white rice and some steamed asparagus or broccoli to make it a complete meal. You can even cook the veggies right on the pan with the salmon to save on time and dishes. If you have leftovers, create some Asian fusion tacos turn them into quick teriyaki salmon cakes.
