Sore Throat
Sore throat refers to the scratchiness, tenderness, pain and irritation of the throat that usually escalates when one swallows food or water.

Symptoms:
• Pain & irritation in the throat
• Difficulty in swallowing

Causes:
• Viral infection
• Bacterial infection
• Excessive dust, smoke or fumes
• Irritants

Recipes based on the above food groups:
Recipe 1: Cinnamon tea
1. Heat 1 cup of milk in a vessel for 5 min
2. Add ½ tsp cinnamon in it
3. Now, add ½ tsp ginger powder
4. Also add 1 tsp honey
5. Serve this drink warm
This tea is a great bedtime drink for an irritation-free sleep
Recipe 2: Chicken clear soup (amazing appetizer)
1. Put 50 gm chicken pieces in 3 cups of water
2. Add some salt and pepper for taste
3. Boil this water for 20 minutes
4. Now, in a pan, heat 1 tsp oil
5. Add ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
6. Then, add 1 chopped spring onion
7. Saute this mixture for 1 minute
8. Now, add the boiled chicken pieces with the stock
9. Allow it to boil for 5 minutes
10. Make sure you have it warm

Tips:
• Avoid extremely hot foods or any , dry and hard foods like nuts,
crackers and raw vegetables
• Avoid consuming fried and spicy foods as they can aggravate the
condition
• Avoid acidic juices like that of orange and tomato as these can
increase the irritation
