Ingredients :
1. Boiled basmati rice ( any rice you can use )
2. Tomato – 3 nos ( medium )
3. Chopped onion – 1/2 no
4. Green chilli – 1
5. Dry red chilli – 1 (You can adjust or skip the chilli if making for kids )
6. Crushed ginger – 1 inch
7. Fresh curry leaves – ( 1 sprig )
8. Chopped cilantro
9. Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp
10. Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
11. Split bengal gram ( Buta dali / Chana dal ) – 1 tbsp
12. Broken cashew nuts – 1 tbsp ( 8-10 nos )
13. Kashmiri red chilli powder ( to get nice red colour in the rice )
14. Asafoetida (Hing ) – A pinch
15. Garam masala – 1/4 tsp ( ** Do not use more than it )
16. Desi ghee ( Clarified butter ) – 1 tbsp ( Instead of it you can also use any cooking oil )
17. Salt to taste
