A very delicious halvah recipe! Traditional Turkish semolina dessert recipe filled with vanilla ice cream. A great harmony! They taste great together. We highly recommend you to use vanilla ice cream as filling, because other flavor ice cream is absorbing the taste of semolina dessert.
Transfer the sugar into a large bowl Add milk Add water Give it a stir for sugar to melt In a large pot, melt the butter Add in the semolina Stir constantly with a wooden spoon to allow the semolina to absorb the butter Pour in the milk-sugar mixture you prepared earlier Give it a stir and turn of the heat Cook for 15 minutes on low heat, with the lid on Turn the heat off and let it rest for 30 minutes Choose a small bowl, and cover it with plastic wrap Cover the sides of the bowl with halvah Tip: Make sure the halvah is not too hot, for ice cream would melt so quick Fill with vanilla ice-cream

2 ½ cups milk
2 cup sugar
1 cup water
For the halvah:
2 cups semolina
100g (3,5 oz) butter
Vanilla ice-cream
