Ultimate Smoked Chicken (Slow Food Recipes) You gotta love smoked meat!

In trying to become the pit-master of my own bbq and smoker, I’m always looking for new techniques, ideas and recipes. Some work, some don’t. But this one, this one worked! If you try this recipe, I’d love to hear how it worked for you in the comments!

Recipe:
-Dry rub
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup paprika
1 Tbs garlic powder
1Tbs onion powder
1 Tbs black pepper
1 tsp lemon zest

-Coat chicken breasts with maple syrup and the slather on the rub.
-Let stand for 1 hour in the fridge.
-Smoke on racks for 1 hr at 225ºF with your favourite wood chips. (we
used maple)
-Place in pan and put 4 Tbs of cubed butter on the chicken breasts.
Seal with aluminum foil and cook for 1/2 hr at 225ºF
-Remove from pan and dunk the chicken breasts in a mixture of 1 cup
bbq sauce (your favourite) and 1 cup apple juice.
-Smoke directly on racks for an additional 1/2 hr.
-Remove from smoker and immediately drizzle with warmed honey.
-Enjoy!
