Peshawari Charsi Chicken, as the name suggests, is a dish from Peshawari cuisine. The authentic Peshawari version does not have onions. The chicken is fried in oil and salt and turned over from time to time until meat pieces turn brown. The dish is prepared in a karahi and can be served with naan or tandoori roti. Just like all Peshawari karahi recipes, this one is quick and simple too. In Karahi recipes, the taste of tomato is the specialty so here in this karahi, tomato brings as much taste and aroma as not many spices added. To say, its’s a few ingredients karahi and the oil, garlic, chicken, tomato, salt and black pepper with the garnishing of julienne ginger makes it special and delicious in taste. Peshawari Charsi Chicken Ingredients –
00:32- Preparation of the Gravy
3/4 cup Oil
1 tsp Salt
750 gms Chicken
2 Tomatoes (scored & cored)
4 Green Chillies (chopped)
1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
1 tsp Black Pepper (crushed)
1 tsp Chilli Flakes
Ginger Juliennes (for garnish)
