Recipe with Eng Subtitles.Super tasty tomato chicken best to serve this Appam.Try this delicious chicken dish this Easter.
Ingredients
Chicken-3/4 kg
To marinate
Turmeric powder-1/2 tspn
Red chilli powder-1 1/2 tspn
Coriander Powder-1 tspn
Vinegar-1 tspn
Salt
For masala
Onion-3 sliced
Ginger garlic crushed or paste-1 1/2 tablespoon
Green chillies-2
Tomato-3 medium
Turmeric powder-1/2 tspn
Kashmiri Red chilli powder-2 tspn
Coriander powder-2 tspn
Garam masala powder-2 tspn
Fennel powder-1 tspn
Curry leaves
Thick coconut milk-3/4 cup
Salt
Oil
In the video i have shown cardamom,cloves and cinnamom but i didnt use that in the curry.
Marinate chicken with ingredients listed under to marinate.Keep for 30 minutes in fridge.
Heat some oil in a pan and shallow fry the chicken pieces in batches.Fry them for just 2 to 3 minutes on both sides.Keep aside the fried chicken.
In the same oil,add sliced onion and saute till they become really soft.Add crushed ginger,garlic and green chillies.Saute till the raw smell goes.Now add in the powders and saute for few minutes in low flame.Now add chopped tomato and fried chicken.Also add curry leaves ,enough salt and thick coconut milk.Cover and cook till the chicken is fully done and the masala thickens.
This curry has a thick masala.But you can adjust the consistency as per your preference.
Adjust the spices as per your taste.
