One of the most popular heroes of Indo-Chinese cuisine. Chilli chicken is an explosion of flavours.
Ingredients:
– 300 Gms chicken
– 3 Tbsp schezwan sauce
– Salt to taste
– 2 Tbsp corn flour
– Oil
– 1 Tbsp soy sauce
– 1 Tbsp tomato ketchup
– 1 and 1/2 Tbsp ginger-garlic paste
– 2 Small onions
– 1 Bell pepper
– 4 Slit green chillies
– Water
– Spring onions to garnish
Method:
1) In a bowl add chicken, 2 tbsp schezwan sauce, salt, corn flour & oil & mix thoroughly.
2) Keep the marinade aside for 30 minutes.
3) In a separate bowl add 1 tbsp schezwan sauce, soy sauce & tomato ketchup.
4) Mix well & keep aside.
5) After 30 minutes, take the chicken marinade & deep fry the chicken pieces till they turn golden brown.
6) In another pan, heat some oil and then add ginger-garlic paste, onions, bell peppers, the sauce mixture & mix well.
7) Add the fried chicken pieces & mix till they are coated with the sauce evenly.
8) Garnish the chilli chicken with some spring onion greens
