Genuine Kerala Type Chicken Stew Method | Guided Procedure

Discover the art of creating the finest Kerala type chicken stew with this detailed guide! Infused with fragrant spices and prepared in coconut oil, this meal is rich in taste. Excellent for dinner!

Ingredients:

1 kilogram Chicken
2 spoon Coriander Powder
2 spoon Chilli Powder
1 spoon Turmeric Powder
Salt as Needed
2 spoon Pepper Powder
2 sliced Green Chillies
2 spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
1/4 cup Coconut Pieces
1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
For the Gravy:

15-20 Shallots
1 small Onion
2 spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
Sprigs of Curry Leaves
1 tablespoon Pepper Powder
Salt as Desired
2 tablespoons Coconut Oil
Instructions:

Coat the chicken with coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, pepper powder, green chillies, ginger garlic paste, coconut pieces, and coconut oil. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Heat coconut oil in a pan and fry shallots, onion, ginger garlic paste, and curry leaves until they turn golden brown.
Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until it becomes golden brown.
Sprinkle with pepper powder and salt to taste. Stir well.
Adjust the gravy consistency by adding water as needed.
Cover and simmer until the chicken is tender and the gravy thickens.
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice or roti.
