Delightfully tasty chicken adobo awaits. Why not give it a shot for your upcoming chicken and rice meal?
- 1 kilogram chicken drumsticks
- 1 onion
- 12 garlic cloves
- 4 bay leaves 🍃
- 2 tablespoons peppercorns
- Half cup vinegar
- Half cup dark soy sauce
- 1 cup light soy sauce
- 1 or 2 green chillies (optional)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Cover and let the ingredients marinate overnight.
On the following day, heat up your skillet with 2 teaspoons of oil. Place the chicken inside. Cook for 4 minutes on each side, then set aside.
Warm up another 2 teaspoons of oil in the skillet. Add chopped onion and 4 crushed garlic cloves. Introduce the marinated mixture, and don’t forget the bay leaves 🍃 and peppercorn. Return the chicken to the skillet, pour just enough water to cover the meat, then cover with a lid. Let it simmer until the meat is cooked through, and the gravy has thickened nicely.
