Ingredients
For Onion Paste
1 cup Diced Onions
3-4 green chillies
1 small piece of ginger
7-8 garlic cloves
For tomato paste
1 cup diced tomatoes
½ cup soaked cashew nuts
For the gravy
2 tbsp butter
2 tsp cumin seeds
¼ tsp kalonji/onion seeds
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ cup milk
½ cup water
1 cup boiled chickpeas
250 gm Cubed paneer
2 tsp cream
2 tsp kasuri methi
2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
Method:
1. Grind the ingredients of the onion paste & tomato paste separately & keep aside.
2. Now in a kadai add butter & saute the cumin seeds & kalonji for 1 min.
3. Then add the prepared onion paste & cook for 2-3 min, follow by adding the prepared tomato paste & continue to cook for 2-3 mins
4. Now add the spice powder, milk & water & combine well.
5. Bring to a boil & add the paneer & boiled chickpeas.
6. Finally add the cream, kasuri methi & chopped coriander.
7. Serve hot with roti or rice
