**Ingredients**
– 4 thick pork chops
– 1/2 tsp paprika
– 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
– 1/2 tsp garlic powder
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 4 Tbsp brown sugar
– Olive oil
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the spices: paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
2. Generously coat the pork chops with the spice mixture.
3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the pork chops. Sear each side for approximately 3-5 minutes until browned. After achieving a nice brown color, sprinkle a tablespoon of brown sugar onto each chop, flipping them to ensure both sides receive melted sugar. (Be cautious not to add the brown sugar too early, as it can burn and create unwanted smoke.)
4. Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 350˚F (175˚C) and bake for 15 minutes to ensure the pork chops are thoroughly cooked.
5. Before serving, drizzle the glaze that has formed in the pan over the pork chops. Pair with your favorite vegetables. All Tasty music provided by Audio Network and Warner Chappell Inc. Used with permission.
