Ingredients for Fish Curry
Marination
250 gm Bhetki or sole fish
1 nos lemon
1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste
1 tsp dry red chili powder
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
1 tsp mustard oil
Curry
1 tbsp mustard oil
1 tsp methi seed
1 tsp cumin seed
2 leave of bay leave
½ cup chopped onion
1 tsp ginger & garlic paste
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp dry red chili powder
1 tsp salt
½ cup fresh tomato puree
1 tsp soaked methi
¼ cup tamarind water
¼ cup jaggery water
1 tsp kasoori methi
1 tbsp chopped coriander
Method
Marination
Take bhetki or sol fish and cut into medium pics.
Apply lemon juice on fish
Add ginger & garlic paste, dry red chili powder, turmeric, salt and a little bit of mustard oil and keep it aside for 10 to 15 min.
Curry
Take a pan to start heating a pan and put mustard oil and methi seeds, cumin seeds, bay leaves
Add chopped onion and cooked till it turns golden brown then add ginger garlic paste
Add turmeric, coriander powder, dry red chili powder, salt and add fresh tomato puree cook for sometime
Place a frying pan a pour mustard oil and place fish pics to get crispy fry from both sides
Now pour some water in curry and continue with cooking add soaked methi (soaked in warm water), tamarind water, jaggery water
Now add fried fish in curry and simmer for some more time and finish it by adding kasoori methi and chopped coriander
Service fish curry with steamed rice.
