Chicken Pinwheels Samosa | Fried Pinwheels
INGREDIENTS FOR FILLING :
200 gm Boiled Chicken Shredded
Chopped Green Onion
Chopped Green Coriander
Salt To Taste
Half Tsp Red Chili Powder
Half Tsp Black Pepper Powder
Half Tsp Garam Masala powder
Half Tsp Chaat Masala
1 egg
1 tsp lemon juice
INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH
1 cup all purpose flour (maida)
2 tablespoons fine sooji (semolina )
3 to 4 tablespoons oil
Salt to taste
cold water as required
METHOD
Dough
Mix all purpose flour, sooji, salt, and oil. Add water as needed to make dough. mix and then knead into a smooth soft dough..add more water if required while kneading . Let it rest at least 20 minutes.
FILLING:
In a bowl mix all ingredients Chicken Shredded, green onions, green coriander, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, chaat masala, lemon juice, egg & garam masala powder. Set aside.
PINWEELS MAKING
Roll the dough ball . Take a ball and begin to flatten it with your palms. Lightly dust both sides with flour, and begin to roll out the ball on your powdered surface with rolling pin.
Now spread the chicken filling evenly over the rolled roti, slightly pressing.
Roll the roti gently. Use a water mixed dough to seal the edges.
With a sharp knife slice the both ends. This should make about 8 to 10 pinwheels. Press each pinwheel lightly.
Mix the 3 tablespoons all purpose flour and ¼ cup water to make a thin batter. Now dip pinweels one by one in batter and drop them slowly into the hot oil. Fry the pinwheels until both sides are golden-brown, turning occasionally.
The crispy, spicy & delicious pinwheels are now ready to serve with ketchup.
