Harissa Sauce
Tunisian Hot Sauce
makes about 1 1/2 cup (12 oz)
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 1/2 Tbsp harissa paste (available at delicatessans or import stores)
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1 1/2 cup/12 oz water
Salt
Cook only a couple of minutes while stirring to avoid burning the paste.
2. Add the water and stir well, bring to a boil and stir. Reduce heat and simmer only a minute. Serve with a couscous meal. Enjoy!
