Greece is a historical country with many fine foods. This is the country which had the beginnings of democracy and many philosophers. The range of food is from a wonderful selection of olives, vegetables, and cheese and to the fine seafood and lamb dishes, Greece has so much to offer. The Greek people have enjoyed a location which has brought many travelers and foreigners to their country.
Located in the Mediterranean Sea east of Italy, west of Turkey and to the north of Northern Africa many travelers have visited Greece and some have contributed to the influences on food and culture. In most Greek homes you will still find large containers of olives, olive oil, feta cheese, herbs, fresh vegetables and fresh meats and many more staples of Greek food.
